Glaucoma is a disease of the optic nerve. Glaucoma can cause vision loss and blindness and it starts when the optic nerve, specifically optic fibers start to become damaged. An individual can start to lose their peripheral vision as a result of glaucoma.
Diabetic retinopathy is a condition in which diabetes begins to affect the blood vessels inside the retina. Blood vessels in the retina start to bleed into the gel like fluid that fills your eye, and this can result in an individual seeing dark spots, floaters, and cobweb like streaks.
Age-Related Macular Degeneration is when there is a loss of central vision and central vision is blurred.
